People come to me with pain and illness, with grief and anxiety, and with questions they haven't found words for yet.

Some have already been everywhere else. Some are at a threshold and know it. Some just feel off in a way they can't explain and need help.

What a session is

Initial sessions run 80 - 90 minutes. We start by talking, getting to know each other and we take the time to find what's actually going on.

Typically, you'll then lie down for energy point therapy - which most people know as acupuncture or energy healing.  (See below for working remotely). If we use needles, they are very fine and most people feel little more than a small wave of energy or pulse as each one goes in. I treat them as a way of speaking directly to the body while the deeper work happens in the quiet that follows.  Generally people start getting very relaxed as we go and the Qi energy starts to flow.

For people who are wanting to dive deeper into the patterns that are driving their life, a session will often involve using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and Matrix Re-imprinting. These therapies use tapping on acu-points while processing emotions (or things haunting us from the past) to bring peace and clarity to a situation or event. We can also use these to shift limiting beliefs that are holding us back and bring healing to our relationships.

Most people leave feeling calmer, settled and more spacious. Sometimes symptoms can shift very quickly.  Some feel things move over the following days. 

Then, at the end of the session, I’ll tell you what to expect before you go.

Working together remotely

Not everyone who finds me lives in Ojai. I work with many people across the globe. Remote sessions run on Zoom or Facetime and cover a lot of the same ground (minus the needles).

People often assume this work needs to happen in a room. It doesn't. Energy isn't bound by distance, and some of the deepest transformation my clients have experienced has been from another state or another continent.  (in fact much of my own deepest transformation and training happened over Zoom).

We work with what you're carrying, the patterns in your life and relationships you want to shift and how your energy is feeding these patterns. I'll help you understand what energy is your's and what isn't, and, how to clean that up. We may do energetic clearing work with your lineage and the collective as well. I'll guide you through this in the moment and then give you things to practice in between sessions.

Training

I'm a licensed acupuncturist trained in Chinese medicine, with post-graduate training in Classical Five Element (Worsley Style) acupuncture. For those looking for these, I mainly employ Kiiko Matsumoto's Japanese style and the Classical 5 Element approach. I am also versed in Dr. Tan and Master Tung style. I am an accomplished Chinese herbalist and create custom formulas. I've been practicing since 2007, in Ojai since 2013. Alongside that, I have thirty-two years in Eastern healing arts: Qi Gong, therapeutic massage, plus Reiki master training in 2003.

How it works

To receive the work you must become a member of Ojai Healing. There’s no cost to join and no obligation to come to another session. That’s just the container the work happens in, and it's what allows the kind of depth and continuity this work asks for. Becoming a member is simply signing the agreement.  

Insurance

*As a licensed acupuncturist I am a primary care provider. While I don’t accept insurance cards or co-pays as payments, I can provide a Superbill which you can submit to your carrier for reimbursement.  I can also take HSA cards.  If that's what you need, say so when you reach out.

Hours M-F

In person sessions

First visit: $195 1.25 - 1.5 hours

Follow up options:

1. $195 for 1 hour- acupuncture, energy healing and EFT and other modalities as needed where I spend the whole hour with you. These sessions offer the deepest possibility for transformation.

(for some who need extra time, there is also a 1.5 hour follow up for $222)

2. $170 - for people wanting regular care(2-4x per month) often providing extra services mentioned above as timing permits

3.  $125 - for those who just want acupuncture and Chinese medicine.  I spend 1/2 hour with you and the other 1/2 hour you’re “cooking” (This is the more standard approach that many acupuncturists follow)

Available on Mon, Tues afternoon and Wed, Friday am

All follow up sessions are 1 hour.  What varies is how much time I’m in the room.
